The performance of on telescope depend strongly its operating conditions. During pointing the can move at a relatively high velocity, and system tolerate trajectory position errors higher than during tracking. On contrary, tracking Alt-Az telescopes generally slower but still in large dynamic range. In this case, must be as close to zero possible. Tracking is one essential factors that affect quality astronomical observations. paper, hybrid Genetic-Fuzzy approach control movement two-link direct-drive Celestron introduced. proposed controller uses Genetic algorithm (GA) for optimizing fuzzy logic (FLC) improve 14-inches Kottamia Astronomical Observatory (KAO). input vector error rate change, output torque. GA objective function used here Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE). method compared with conventional Proportional-Differential (PD) controller, an optimized PD GA, Fuzzy controller. results show effectiveness response overall system.
